Tutorial Network
The NatureCollege Foundation aspires to provide both a national and international platform for mutual communication in the field of the re-evaluation of the relationship between humans and nature, and to reveal that humankind is part of the unity of all life.
Apart from having an effective network on a national level, (see links) a tutorial forum has been established. The forum consists of the following teachers:
Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld
Willem Beekman
Jeroen Heindijk
Annelies Hupkes

International
The NatureCollege Foundation works on an international level to align the Netherlands with global developments in the field of re-evaluating the relationship between humans and nature.
Through cross-fertilisation and the establishment of a comprehensive objective a higher level of awareness for this theme will thus be achievable. In short, the NatuurCollege Foundation strives to create a platform upon which the concept of “acknowledgement of the relationships with the one-ness of all life” will be discernible at a global level.
Internationally renowned teachers and speakers will be invited to participate in activities from abroad while their Dutch counterparts can facilitate a range of projects in other countries.
The board members are responsible for this undertaking.
The groundwork for this initiative originated during the early days when the Lippe-Biesterfeld NatuurCollege was founded in May 2001. Czech artist, author and holistic ecologist Marko Pogacnik presented Dutch attendees with a lecture and a workshop as one of the events at the official opening of the NatuurCollege Foundation.
During the 2002 United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, the NatureCollege Foundation presented its participants with “an alternative concept/idea” in the light form of a leaf from a tree bearing the text “We are Nature”. The underlying text was written by Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld (www.wearenature.com).
The book 'Science, soul and the spirit of nature', written by Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld, also contributed towards a more extensive international network. Prof. Patricia Mische, who flew to the Netherlands for this special occaision, joined Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld for the launch of the book.
In 2005 Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld was made an honorary member of the Club of Budapest. Mr Herman Wijffels was elected as creative member.
International interest in the progressive work of the NatureCollege Foundation is increasing owing partly to the Spirit of the Wild programme that is facilitated in South Africa, as well as the other various retreats.
The NatureCollege Foundation is a member of the IUCN, International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources(www.IUCN.com) and has contributed to the World Parks Congress in Durban where Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld called for the need to recognise the non-material value of national parks and reserves. We also staunchly support the founder of the Wilderness Foundation, Dr Ian Player, with whom we work together.
