Social role
The Foundation NatureCollege acts as and initiator and aims to inspire people to revalue their role within the context of nature. Her role is to create a platform, whereupon a process may be facilitated both in The Netherlands and abroad that can contribute to her mission. Meanwhile The Foundation NatureCollege has become a thriving network of people from different countries around numerous activities. The Foundation NatureCollege is largely funded by society, by institutions, funds, companies and individuals. 

Unique value
Within the larger field of organisations focused on nature, environment and sustainability, the position of The Foundation NatureCollege is unique. The Foundation NatureCollege is explicitly committed to the relationship between humans and nature, not only physically, but also at an inner or spiritual level. The specific contribution of The Foundation NatureCollege lies in putting this high on the agenda and discuss this 'inner side of sustainability', and facilitating its social spill. To adequately respond to complex social issues, from climate changes and energy crisis to food and eco-system destruction, a comprehensive, binding perspective is needed: a perspective that recognizes and appreciates the interrelationship between the inner and outer, the here and there, and the present and future. In short: the relationship between humans and nature.
